Freedom Poem

'What price is freedom' so many have said
'What price is freedom,' 'twas my life' say the dead.
So our freedom and justice could be maintained
For this cause were so many through the years slain
As these men and women paid the ultimate in sacrifice,
have we been more aware of our great freedom and it's terrible
price?
Has hatred died and in its place come peace,
and does contention and strife in this land now cease?
As we remember those who died that we might remain free,
let us not forget the one that gained even a greater victory.
It wasn't for only our country and physical lives that Jesus died
But for our redemption and life eternal at His side.
Only if hatred dies in each one of us can peace come-
Only when God and His love fills our life can wars be done.
What price is freedom - what is its worth??
It's each one of us - together - doing all we can, here on earth.....
